my note: I believe that Elizabeth remarried, Eli Jeffers. The age and place of birth for Elizabeth is correct as compared to the 1850 census. I can't find any collaborating information, however that would be a logical explanation of why her children are living in this household. The oldest Jeffers child was born abt. 1858, 6 years after John Howland's death.
